Aimed at radically improving the system of state support for persons with disabilities, formed by the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 1, 2017 No. R-5006, creating the necessary conditions for strengthening the relationship of persons with disabilities with the family, society and the state, their stay in a favorable environment, unhindered access to urban passenger transport, social and other infrastructure facilities. Strengthening targeted social protection of persons with disabilities, expanding the medical and social services provided to them; increasing the effectiveness of measures for their medical and social rehabilitation, providing high-quality auxiliary and technical means of rehabilitation, including equipping public transport with special facilities to create amenities for people with disabilities, including ramps, separate places, sounding of stops and a route, an electronic information board. Study and preparation of proposals for the modernization and technical renovation of enterprises for the production of prosthetic, orthopedic and technical rehabilitation equipment for the disabled, as well as the creation of modern industries with the involvement of foreign investment.
The State Committee for Architecture and Construction, the State Committee for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre, the Ministry of Transport, the Committee for Highways under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and other interested departments to take measures to strengthen architectural and construction supervision in the design and construction of facilities, as well as ensuring the principle of inevitability of responsibility for non-compliance with the requirements for ensuring access to them by persons with disabilities.
